My sweet child

(To Jason )

Seeing you there lying in your hospital bed breakes my heart, your chestnut eyes, filled with fear, your lovely face swollen, the pain of your injury like a dagger hurting you constantly

As you look at me helpless I wish I had a magical wand, to touch your auburn hair and give you peace and see you smile again

Oh, my son, my sweet child how cruel the pain that mother's feel, when their children hurt

You are a young man now and I see how your body fills the bed, I see you still as my little boy, my sweet child what can I do to help?

Tell you I love you? that I will always be here, that your pain is my pain, that I would gladly take your place, so you can be pain free again?
