On an April day
on a Spring day
High on the snowed mountains
of South Lake Tahoe
near Emerald Bay
you arrived...
My grandson
wanted and waited for
your big blue eyes
search for the light
and your little hands
clasp grandma's pinky
Little sweet boy
you arrived in a day
when the birds
were arriving home
after a long trip
across the planet
As they sang happily
on the branches
safe in their blue lake
so you are safe in the
arms of your grandma
